Psychic Developement

Whether you are an Artist, Doctor, Lawyer, or Indian Chief, intuitive (psychic) skills can be developed and can prove to be very helpful. Emphasis here is on learning to "see the unseen, and on knowing the un-knowable." A secondary, yet important, part of this class is "how to give a reading."

Exercises in clairvoyance (clear sight) and psychometry ("reading" information from objects) facilitate progressive development of skills. Feedback during each class enables students to monitor individual and class progress. This is very much a participatory, "hands on" experience. This class, presented in a ceremonial way, will use Smudging and The Talking Circle - both, respectfully borrowed from Native America.

Smudging is a cleansing, purification practice for our selves and the space that involves the burning of (in this case) Sage and Cedar. The resulting smoke is directed to who/what is being purified.

In the Talking Circle a feather, stick, stone or other object is passed from person to person. When the object is passed to a person it is that persons turn to speak - shared thoughts, feelings, insights, visions or anything else that is sincere, spontaneous and heartfelt. Here it is used, as a very effective tool to open communicative channels and as a "stepping stone" to psychic consciousness.

A Tip for Developing Psychics

Be aware of first impressions !!! Psychic information can be received in a variety of ways, through emotions (feelings), body awareness, thoughts, intuitions or "hunches", visions, voices, and countless other ways, either singularly or in combination. Any way in which information is received is a valid way and no way is any more valid than any other way.

An Archetype of Unconditional Love

To deepen our understanding of unconditional love we will examine "The Lovers", a card from the standard Tarot Card deck. The Tarot deck embodies encoded and symbolic information that can be helpful to us in our everyday lives. "The Lovers is a prime example of this.

"The Lovers" from a number of different Tarot decks will be shown and various writers on the subject will be quoted. Also Laughing Bear, an experienced Psychic and Tarot card reader, will explain how he uses "The Lovers" in his readings. Class will provide opportunity for "hands on" input and informal discussion.

Bring an open mind, a sense of humor and, if possible, examples of "The Lovers" from your own Tarot decks. Any previous knowledge of Tarot, though, is not necessary.

Astrology Basics

Astrology, as well as being a tool for "seeing" the past, present, and future, can also be a spiritual language and meditation. An advantage in learning a foreign language (like astrology) is that our own language (whatever it may be) will be understood better and, therefore will serve us better. The advantage of meditation is that once the attention is focused (or, if you will, un-focused (?)) true inner knowledge and realization will occur.

Although astrology can seem very complicated, it is very clear and understandable if just a few basics are known and used. Houses, signs, planets, and aspects are the basics that will be presented in class. Also, from the start, students will be encouraged to read and interpret, for each other, in class, using their developing knowledge and skills.
