Laughing Bear, a Chicago native, being trained in
classical European music traditions achieved a Masters
degree with a major in composition. He then
married, moved to New York City and began his
professional life as a performing musician
(trumpet), writer and teacher of music. Because of impending blindness and other life trauma that began in about 1985 his extensive career in music came to an end. Then, already having interest in the power of the mind, in an effort to heal, he looked within and explored diverse avenues of awareness such as Tibetan Buddhism, Native American Spirituality as well as Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Radical Therapy, massage and channeling to heal his blindness and spiritual crisis which included divorce and the tragic death of his young son. Through this seemingly diverse pathway he looked to the core of his being and experienced a spiritual awakening. He subsequently developed and began to present workshops in CREATIVE HEALING. In 1991 Frank regained his eyesight and began pursuing his new calling with renewed energy. He then began presenting ceremonies in THE WEALTH TRADITION, "a celebration of our Spiritual Heritage." SPIRITUAL PATHWAYS is his most recently developed workshop. As well as working with music in many forms, including harmonic overtone singing, he works with creativity, elevated consciousness, astrology, art and writing. During this time he became aware of an enhanced psychic ability. In addition to his poetry collection VISIONS, he writes for magazines and is completing his autobiography, JOURNEY THROUGH DARKNESS. An eclectic, he is an advocate of consciousness raising by whatever means are available and appropriate. Frank Laughing Bear resides in Chicago, IL, USA area and is available for psychic, tarot, astrology dream interpretation or other consultations in person or by telephone. Classes, workshops and ceremonies are given regularly in the Chicago area but Frank will travel to where there is sufficient interest in his work. |
